| Tequesta's First Baptist Church is committed to leading others in carrying out the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40), and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) through three priorities: Connect to God, Connect to God's People, and Connect to God's Purpose. |
Connect to God: Connecting to God begins with a personal relationship with God's Son, Jesus. God loved us enough to send Jesus to pay the penalty for our sin (John 3:16). Because of sin, we are separated from God and are in need of His forgiveness (Romans 3:23). It is only because of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection that we can have a relationship with the Father (1 Peter 2:24). It is our desire that you have the opportunity to surrender your life to become a follower of Christ.
If you have already begun a relationship with Jesus, then our desire is to help you connect to God in deeper and more intimate ways through His Word and worship. Our services give high priority to sound, Bible teaching and passionate worship and our small groups afford an opportunity to dig deeper into God's Word and to experience God's love through God's people.
Connect to God's People: Everyone needs relationships and everyone needs someone to pick them up when they fall. Small Groups provide a place where you can "do life" together with others and a place where you can belong during your life’s journey. The Small Group Ministry of Tequesta’s First Baptist Church is designed to connect believers to the body of Christ through intimate relationships that have God’s Word at the center. Small Groups meet at various times and locations throughout the week, making it possible for everyone to be involved. The groups are intended to create opportunities for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry.
Connect to God's Purpose: When God created you He created a 'masterpiece' designed to fulfill a specific purpose (Ephesians 2:10). God designed you uniquely and wants you to use your unique gifts and abilities to serve Him and to serve others. It is our desire to help everyone that attends this church to discover their God-given gifts and abilities so that they can live out the purpose that God has created in them.
Statement of Faith: Tequesta's First Baptist Church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. To learn more about the Baptist Faith and Message, visit www.SBC.net.
